How to travel to Europe for free? [True Story]

Ask a Better Question

Europe tripAgain, It was all at once. Christmas, taxes, trips away with friends and several other things. But, It was a very important date for me and I really wanted to be there.

“Is it possible to plan the big Europe trip now?” – it was going through my mind. There are times in your life when “shoulds” become “musts”, but how? Kiyosaki once said:

“Do not say I cannot afford it, ask how can I afford it”.

I knew I needed a better question here to move forward. So let’s try this one: “Is it possible that the trip will pay for itself?” then something clicked and I booked the ticket.

I got home about 1h before the my younger brother turned 14. It was 12 months since I was home last time. When I knocked on the door at 23:00 my dad answered “come in” but a minute later he started apologising and explained that he thought I was my elder brother, he did not recognise me!

At 00:00 I gave tickets to Seba, he shouted to his friend who was staying over “I am going to Vienna tomorrow”.

Trip to Vienna

It was my first time in Vienna, beautiful, history rich city. Walking through the streets you will frequently pass by tobacco shops, pastry shops, coffee shops decorated in imperial style reminding the greatness of Austrio-Hungarian empire. We had some great bonding time and created some great memories: Vienna house of music, Starbucks pit stop & the HUB.

Tropical Shivering

Poland became white overnight, there was a massive snowfall on the night of our return. Me being spoilt with tropical weather for the last couple of years, I had a hard time adjusting to the relatively good winter temperatures -5 – -7. It is not that bad as for the region, but I was shivering.

Last year a friend of mine took us on a trip to hot springs and we also had a dip in the icy water with the outdoor temperature of -10. That did the trick. This year, I thought I will handle it, but till the end of the trip I was cold.

Proud to be Polish and our Roots and Fruits

Within the 2 week in Poland, I had some quality bonding time with my family, hanging out with childhood gang and other friends I have not seen for a while. I fed myself with the missing flavours of Polish cuisine: pickled mushrooms, gherkins, sauerkraut and meat.

home madeDad got me to visit our neighbours, and I have to admit I tasted some of the best things I have ever had. Currently, there seems to be a very strong trend in Poland, best is home made. Our neighbours served oven baked meat with horseradish, home made wine and vodka. It was a great feast.

Walking through the streets of Warsaw with my friends who returned from London was an eye opener, seeing the same places through their eyes created a new experience of the city that I have known. They designed a fun and picturesque route with several pit stops on the way. We stopped at couple of traditional Polish restaurants. It was great to see that Poland finally became proud of our own culture and tradition. We frequently bumped into bars and restaurants reflecting our older times, places like (Zapiecek, Siwy Dym, Zakaski Kaski, Ojcowizna).

Tears of Gratitude

On my last day I stayed at my elder brother’s house. Travelling there on the train, I put some great music on and suddenly tears started dropping on my cheeks, I could not contain the gratitude for meeting people close to my heart that I have not seen for a while and all the amazing experiences they have prepared. I did not feel like leaving.

London

with friends in LondonI had spent in London nearly 10 years, one third of my life. This time I was only 4 days there, so that was quite a short trip. During this short stay I visited many of my friends and organised a seminar. But it is hard not to notice that London seemed rather affected by the escalating inflation. We left London for Maldives in September 2009. Since then, there is a clear increase in price of the basic necessities like petrol, rent, cost of going out.

Make it Big

On the third day of the stay, on Saturday, together with my amazing business partners and friends we put together an incredible event, sharing strategies and the secret formula – how to make money blogging – during “Make it Big in 2013” event.

We held it in Central London in Bloomsbury, during two sessions we had over 100 people.

We finished the amazing day having dinner with a group of committed and driven entrepreneurs. I got invited to stay overnight at Jack’s place, he is the famous Polish Viking. Him and his wife treated me with amazing hospitality, tasting more traditional Polish food. I finished the trip seeing more friends and last dinner was held in a Mexican style as my friend is married to a Mexican lady.

Yes it did

During the 3 weeks, I met over 30 people close to my heart, bonded, created some memories.

And yes, the trip paid for itself! Several times over.

It was the result of asking a better question, automating online real estate, holding an event with an amazing team of people and doing Facebook piggy-back marketing strategies from our Ten Ten Formula training.

Now, just to summarise:

Within one month, I travelled from Kuala Lumpur – Warsaw – Vienna – London.

Spent magical time with my family and friends.

Had a great Internet Marketing seminar with my business partners in London.

And the trip paid for itself.

This is what we dreamt when we left London in 2009. And now we are living The Wireless Income.
